Elizabeth King, APR, is a public relations professional with more than 20 years of experience in internal and external communications, employee engagement and education, community relations, fundraising and foundation administration, and event management.
A native Oklahoman, King is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans’ award-winning school of mass communications and earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America. She received the 2016 Women of Distinction Award from the Tulsa Business and Legal News, was named 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Bixby Metro Chamber and Young Professional of the Year by the PRSA-Tulsa Chapter in 2005.
King has worked in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors and understands the unique challenges and opportunities in both environments. Her experience allows her to utilize her talents to create communication strategies to help organizations better tell their story.
Throughout her career, King has been an active community volunteer with a passion for education, children’s issues and economic development. Volunteer organizations include Family & Children’s Services, Emergency Infant Services, Junior Achievement of Oklahoma, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Tulsa and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma. She is the former board chair of the Bixby Metro Chamber board of directors and served on the Bixby Development Foundation board of directors and served on the Bixby Economic Development Advisory Council.
